Mission of the Prosecutor’s Office:

 
  • Promote Justice
  • A speedy trial for the defendant.
  • Protect the victim as much as possible from further victimization
  • Provide access for the public to file criminal complaints and obtain information.
  • Investigation and prosecution of the violations of State Criminal Statutes in Marion County, WV.
  • Represent the State of West Virginia before the Marion County Circuit Court, Grand Jury, and Magistrate Court.
  • Represent petitioners in all juvenile delinquency proceedings and abuse/neglect proceedings.
  • The Prosecutor’s Office acts as a legal advisor for various State and Local Governmental entities.
